I see many who are making comments and posts regarding their fear of Muslims living in America. This points to a problem among born-again believers that has nothing to do with Islam.
The sadness is our pulpits have lost their fire and prophetic voice. We have denomination-called pastors rather than God-called pastors No one takes them seriously because so many are into politics rather than God’s calling on their lives. And this extends beyond just pastors (specific office) to all preachers (general calling). For example, we have less and less people answering the call to be missionaries.
We have born-again believers who will not even attend church services to be equipped, encouraged, and edified. Two physical illustrations can apply to this:
- People complain about starving but refusing to eat.
- People complain about being out of shape but refusing to exercise.
We are seeing the spiritual equivalent in too many congregations.
They are not taught the Biblical commandment of judging/discernment. And there is a lack of obedience to Biblical soul-winning (a.k.a. witnessing, missions, evangelism) – duty of every born-again believer, not just those in full-time ministry. Every heart with Christ is a missionary, every heart without Christ is a mission field. That is the threat to born-again believers and congregations in US. We are allowing the battle to be won by Satan and his demons, worldliness, and our own selfish flesh – our three real enemies.
Since 1992, I have personally shared the Gospel with many Muslims and led over 100 Muslims to the Lord Jesus Christ, including 2 Imams. Why? How?
First, because I do not fear and hate Muslims. I have no bigotry toward anyone, since we are all made in the image of God. And Muslims are not our real enemy. They listen to you when you treat them with respect and compassion, knowing that they need to the love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness of God as much as we do. They do not need our condemnation or anger.
Second, all I am doing is planting seeds, pulling weeds (de-escalating arguments – Proverbs 15:1), and watering (answering questions – 1 Peter 3:15). I leave the harvest to God. Only Holy Spirit can convict the soul. Only Jesus can save.
If you want to defeat the ancient pagan Arabic fertility god, Allah, this is how you do it – not with political rhetoric or guns . It is not through fear or hatred. Not by banning Quaran or Islam. This is why Christians congregations are growing amidst persecution in Islamic nations. Despite heavy legal restrictions and societal hostility in many Muslim-majority nations, underground and house church movements are quietly expanding.
Persecution has caused more spiritual growth than comfort and freedom ever have. This may be why as of 2026, America is now receiving 32,000 incoming foreign Christian missionaries to share God’s Word with Americans.
Matthew 10:28 – And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Luke 12:4 – And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Philippians 1:21 – For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
