True Wisdom is Gentle

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
The source of true wisdom is God. True wisdom does not come from seeking the knowledge and wisdom of men and of this world. It comes from seeking God—from seeking the knowledge and wisdom of God. One of the things that true wisdom produces is “gentleness.” It means that there is something better than mere justice—a gracious gentleness. The wise Christian will be gentle and patient in dealing with other people.
All of us have friends, even Christian friends, who tend to be harsh and judgmental. They are good people and mean well, but they tend to turn people away from the Lord with their angry spirit. When we are tempted to be harsh in our dealings with people, especially those who are not saved, we must remember that the wisdom from God teaches us to be gentle and patient.
May each of us follow the admonition of Paul in Ephesians.
Ephesians 4:2-3 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Reflection—Purity in the heart allows for peace and gentleness in relationships.
