Pray for Nigeria: One Pastor Killed, Another Held Captive

By Missionary Nate Wilkerson

Nigerian Road BlockadePastor Hills Emmanuel was abducted on Friday alongside Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak while traveling from Jos to Bokkos, Nigeria.
Gunmen reportedly blocked the Barkin Ladi–Bokkos road, less than a mile from military checkpoints, according to witnesses. The attackers pulled both pastors from a minivan carrying nine people.
On Saturday, Pastor Emmanuel’s body was discovered near the place where he was abducted. He was a former Dunamis pastor and the founder of The Wonderful Grace of God Evangelical Ministry in Bokkos.
As of Saturday, Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak remained in captivity, and his abductors had contacted his family.
Tragically, other attacks were reported across Plateau State that same night. At least four more people were killed in separate incidents across three local government areas.
These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Their suffering should not be forgotten, and their lives should not be ignored.
While the world often remains silent about the suffering of persecuted Christians, we must continue to pray, speak out, and remember those who risk everything to serve the Lord.
? Pray for Pastor Dipak’s safe release. Pray for the families who are grieving. Pray for the churches in Nigeria facing violence and persecution.
Hebrews 13:3 (KJV) reminds us:
“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”
The persecuted church must not be forgotten. Please share and pray.
