Msg#2545 Peace WITH God & Peace OF God

What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan’s Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

A genuine Christian has peace WITH God but many today are totally missing the peace OF God. Living defeated lives with persistent discouragement and pessimistic bouts of depression in this depraved sin sick society is not where victorious Christian living is meant to dwell. King Saul’s defeat, Elijah’s discouragement, and Jonah’s disillusionment even caused saints to consider giving up on life. “Victory in Jesus” is not just a song we sing, it is a life we live. We are enabled to live it because of the peace of God dwelling inside of a born again believer. First, be sure you have peace WITH God, “Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom.5:1); it is secured by 14 versus and three answered questions: John.3:16,17,18,36, 5:24, Rom.3:10,23, 5:8,12,18, 6:23, 10:9,10,13. Hand write them all verbatim from an Authorized King James Bible (HWAAB) and then answer three questions; What does one need saved from? How does one get saved from it? and, When were you saved from it? (Write answers in complete sentences). Now, consider the peace OF God, “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus … And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, … and be ye thankful” (Phil.4:7,Col.3:15). HWAAB John.14:27, plus the three Peace-Makers: Love-Law Ps.119:165, No-Cares Phil.4:6, and Sweet-Hour of Prayer Luk.18:1. HWAAB the three Peace-Breakers: Not-Forgiving Matt.6:15, Stinking-Thinking Rom.12:2 with Phil.4: 8, and Coveting-More Heb.13:5 with Jam.4:3. Finally brethren HWAAB Isa.26:3, Ps.16:11, Isa.54:13, Jer.29:7 and Jam.3:18. In WRITING, meditating, and memorizing these 31 verses you will find God’s promise, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isa.26:3). God guarantees it, Praise The Lord.

Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Isa 54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

Jer 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
