The Forward Look

Philippians 3:13 …reaching forth unto those things which are before,
The forward look is a look of faith. It doesn’t come by looking at the world’s conditions and directions. It doesn’t come by looking at the bank account and investments. It doesn’t come by looking at our current health and living situation.
The look of faith can only come when we bury our eyes and hearts deep into God’s Word. It is there where the scales are removed from our eyes, and the Truth floods in. It is there we find hope in a glorious future that no one, but God, can offer.
Just beyond the pearly gates awaits a glory for each of God’s children. By looking ahead, your future can be a delightful enjoyment in the present—no matter what you are going through now.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Lift up your hearts and cast a glance by faith at the unending joy that awaits you. There is a river of grace ever flowing with love and endless delights. By delving into the Word, you can catch a glimpse of that glorious face before Whom you shall one day stand, face to face. It is a glorious face with eyes full of mercy and heart full of love.
Reflection—Child of God, fear not to look ahead and enjoy some of the gracious fruits of your eternity!
