Scouts need to hear support for their gay policy, leader says

Lesbian mother Jennifer Tyrrell, 32, presented the Boy Scouts of America with an online Change.org petition of 300,000 signatures calling for her reinstatement as an Ohio Scout den mother, but the BSA stands by its decision to dismiss her. The U.S. Supreme Court has already defended the BSA’s right to deny leadership to confessed homosexuals. Long-time Southern Baptist Scout R. Chip Turner of Fort Worth, Texas, says the supporters of the Boy Scouts need to speak up.
