Just what does our Lord think about your Church Life? Going to Church is a respectable thing to do! Even among the heathen a little church attendance, especially with spectator types of services, does a soul some good! Scheduling a Sunday service either regularly or occasionally identifies you as a decent human being, even a Christian of sorts, at least. But, just what is the fuller scope of Church Life that God has established in His Word?

The issue of ‘Going to Church’ is not so much as your relationship with others in the congregation as much as it is to your relation with the Lord Jesus. He is the priority of purpose and His People are secondary. The key passage I am focusing upon is Ephesians 3:21. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

This verse is not the first passage one memorizes under the topic of Church Life. It is usually a didactic one of Attendance. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. And usually the first phrase is all that is necessary to get the point that “You gotta go to Church”. the rest is of the verse certainly increases the volume of the edict!

Yes, as simple as it is to get your Body out of bed and decently as possible out of the house and into the ‘House of God’, going to to assemble with the Saints is a Good Thing for a Christian to do! And don’t forget your Bible, Ha, ha!
It is a great step to bring Glory to God! It is an essential habit to develop which just your presence among those whom Jesus has saved gives Glory to God as one of the Redeemed!

Remember this as you contemplate whether or not to go to church at any and all services available and appropriate to your schedule and responsibilities in life.
