It’s been hard for Egyptian women since the revolution, but she’s optimistic for the future. “It doesn’t matter what happens in the street or in the country,” the 17-year-old Christian says. “Maybe we have to wear more clothes and cover our hair” because of the rising tide of conservative Islam, “but that’s only on the outside.”
