A South Carolina pastor weeps and prays for his church’s adopted people group in Mali. When he was in Mali in February, Brad Bessent told the believers he had befriended in a bush village the day may come when volunteers from his church could not get to them. “Either the economy, or more likely political unrest in their country, may prevent us from being able to get to their village,” Bessent recounts. “I challenged them to continue to assume responsibility for sharing the Word of God with their family, other villagers and neighboring villages. Now I sat wondering, ‘Was that my last trip?'”
