A Washington state coalition of traditional groups turned in more than 240,000 signatures Wednesday (June 6) in an effort to overturn the state’s gay marriage law, a number that is double the number that are required and one that all but guarantees that the state’s voters will decide the issue this fall. The coalition, Protect Marriage Washington, said the 240,000 signatures was a state record.
