Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

My two-year-old loves singing songs about Jesus. She will sing them playing at the house, riding in the car, and skipping down the aisle in the store. She recently announced in the grocery store loud and clear for everyone at the checkout counter to hear, “I love you Jesus.” Her joy in the Lord brings a smile to her family’s faces and to many people she meets. With a simple heart, she is pointing people to Jesus the Righteous Lamb.

Jesus commands us to let our lights shine so that people will glorify our Father. When we have a right relationship with our Lord and spend time with Him in His Word, our love for our Savior will naturally come out in our everyday life.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

In a world full of sin, suffering, and darkness, turning people to righteousness brings light, joy, and peace. Jesus is the only One Who can meet all our needs. Let us seek to point people to the One Who is Righteous.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Reflection—A good meal takes effort and preparation, but it surely is worth the wait!
