Msg #2631 Tell Your Damascus Road Experience
What The Bible Says
Good Samaritan’s Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice
At the 2026 NE Vision Summit a gifted preacher charged us to never forget our Damascus Road experience. He eloquently recited all of the places Paul visited, “And yet”, he said, “All that Paul would talk about before kings, Jewish leaders, and wayward Christians, was his Damascus Road experience.” Paul gave testimony of the certain place, and the certain time, and the certain events when he met the Lord Jesus Christ; you and I should do no less. In unison, out loud, hundreds of attendees shared the place, time, and events of their salvation testimony with somebody nearby. If you don’t have that time and place in mind, or if your event was only confirmation classes, you need to open an Authorized King James Bible to Romans 10:9&10, call on the Lord, and be saved from all condemnation. That’s what John 3:16,17,18,36 and 5:24 say you need saved from. When you are born-again, there is a certain place and time of birth. Then and there you were converted, justified, indwelt, quickened, and wholly immersed in Christ.
Sixty-six years ago in the Jr church basement of Fellowship Baptist Church in Gang Mills, NY, when Mrs. Opel Linbaugh clipped the flannel graph burden of sin off Little Pilgram’s back, before it hit the floor, an eight year old boy named Eddie Rice called on the name of the Lord and was born-again saved.
Visit your Damascus Road experience; tell it to someone; write it down for your children, and children’s children; put it in your Last Will and Testament. It’s not just an opinion; it is your testimonial. Leave that place reading the Bible every day, it got you there. And praying to the Father that answered your prayer there. And telling others what all happened to you there. God blesses testimonials.
