Msg #2612 Ten Things that Won’t

What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan’s Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

Romans 8 opens with “No condemnation” and ends with the Apostle Paul persuaded about “The love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord”, i.e. ten things which can never separate us from that love. He starts with death! “Whosoever believe it in him, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved, … saved from condemnation, and have eternal life … Everlasting life!” (Jhn.3:15–18,Rom.10:13). Everlasting life saves us from the “Second death.” Howbout life? Peter said, “I’d die before I deny Christ.” Did Peter’s denials separate him from the love of God? When you have been justified, indwelt by God, and quickened in Christ, can God say, “I guess I was wrong about that guy, I’ll kill that quickened soul!” No, no, he said, “I will never leave thee!”

Could an angel, a ministering spirit, could they separate us from God? Shall a principality or a power, top dogs, and powers in the spirit world, our enemies? Howbout top dogs and powers of the magistrates, that we must be subject to (Titus.3:1), shall they? Senator Schumer or Governor Kathy cannot separate us from the love of God. If you exceed 55 mph, they might separate you from a hundred dollars, or even from society; never from God! How about Hochul’s replacement or an upcoming President Communist Harris? No, “Things present OR things to come” cannot. There is no power in the height above or in the depth below that might separate us from the love of God! If we missed anything there is “no other creature” which can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. He said, “Rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” (Luk.10:20).
