Jesus Is Coming Back

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God….
There is a promise in the Bible that should fill the heart of every child of God with hope— Jesus is coming back!
When Jesus came the first time, He came as a humble baby in Bethlehem. He lived a sinless life, willingly went to the cross, shed His precious Blood for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. But He did not leave us without a promise. He said He would come again.
Jesus told His disciples in John 14:3, “I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
The world may be filled with uncertainty, but God’s promise is certain. We do not know the day or the hour, but we know He is coming. That means our eyes should not be on the troubles of this world. Our eyes should be fixed on Jesus.
His return should also cause us to examine our lives. Are we living for Him? Are we telling others about Him? Are we ready to meet our Saviour?
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
What a day that will be! The trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ shall rise, and those who are saved will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
Until that day—Keep serving. Keep witnessing. Keep praying. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
He came once to save sinners, and He is coming again to receive His children.
Reflection—Be on the lookout for Jesus, not Heaven. Are you ready?
