Making The Best Of Every Opportunity

Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Every day God gives us opportunities that may never come again. Sometimes we recognize them immediately, and other times we pass right by them because we are too busy, too distracted, or simply waiting for a better time.
The Bible tells us to be wise with the time God has given us. To “redeem” the time means to make the most of it—to take advantage of the opportunities God places before us.
At the time of the writing of this, I’m driving my Mom 2,500 miles across the country for my daughter’s wedding! The reason we are driving, instead of flying, is because she has had some health problems and cannot fly. This is the perfect time to love on her, talk with her, and encourage her! It’s also an opportunity to talk about Jesus. My mother is saved but we all can use some encouragement in the Lord at times. It’s been a great time for both of us to testify of God’s love for us and that alone has been amazing!
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
We often think we need a great platform to make a difference for God. But some of the greatest opportunities come in ordinary moments—a conversation, a helping hand, a kind word, or a decision to stand for what is right.
We cannot go back and recover yesterday’s opportunities. Tomorrow is not promised. But we have today.
Ask yourself—What opportunity has God placed in front of me right now? Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity. Use the opportunity God has already given you. Your time, your influence, your resources, and your life are gifts from God. Make them count for eternity.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might….
Reflection—Do it now, don’t delay, don’t put it off till another day.
