The believers faith is the whole subject of Hebrews 11, in Galatians it is the 7th fruit of the 9 listed, in 2Peter virtue and 6 additional things are added to it, but in Hebrews 6 faith is one of the 1st principles of the oracles of God. There are 5 fundamentals for the Fundamentalist Christian, and 8 distinctives for a true Baptist, but Hebrews 6 lists 7 fundamentals as the 1st oracles of God which need to be grounded in a believer before they move to the meat of God's Word. These 1st principles of the oracles of God are 1) the principles of the doctrine of Christ,” who he was and what he did; 2) “The foundation of repentance from dead works,” because “except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish” and all 'Christian Religion' is polluted with 'dead works;' 3) “the foundation of faith toward God,” here our prime subject is linked directly with repentance as in Acts 20:21; 4) “the doctrine of baptisms,” notice the plural, there is no water present when we are 'baptized' into the body of Christ, nor when Christ “baptizes us with the Holy Ghost,” indeed water only shows up for immersion that pictures death and resurrection, not washing; 5) “the doctrine of laying on hands,” for both ordaining as a pastor or deacon, the only 2 offices of the Church, and for removing one from that office, 6) “The doctrine of resurrection of the dead;” and lastly 7) “the doctrine of eternal judgment,” emphasis on ETERNAL! I have read many books which outline fundamentals and distinctives of our faith. Only this one lists these 1st principles of the oracles of God, and commands that you know them all backward and forward, before going further. Let's hit the book.

John preached with the other eleven apostles for thirty years before our Lord Jesus Christ commanded him to “write the things which thou hast seen” (Rev1:19a). He had collected and read the writings form the other apostles, now he would write the capstone of the Gospels, the summary of the Epistles, and the crescendo of the whole New Testament. In the Revelation of Jesus Christ he calls the Word, the faithful witness; he calls the Creator of life, the first begotten of the dead; he calls the Light of men, the prince of the kings of the earth (John1:1-4, Rev1:5). He references him that loved us, for God so loved the world, the one that washed us in his own blood, and the one who made us kings and priests. There is no greater literature than the Revelation of Jesus Christ. It's prologue gives that triplet of names, a triplet of things he did for us, and then a triplet about his coming, 1) in the clouds, 2) every eye shall see, and 3) those that pierced him shall wail because of him. The prologue concludes with three titles of the LORD God applied directly, without apology, to our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the one which is, and which was, and which is to come. In the Hebrew tongue that would be the great I AM of Exod 3:14. He is the Almighty, just as he is the mighty God of Isa9:6. There is no prologue like it, and a prologue is just a formal introduction showing what is found int the body of the book. The gospel of John, the three epistles of John and the Revelation of Jesus Christ are God's conclusion for his whole Bible, superb literature, and awesome revelation.

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In my Bible the servants of God do not pray the mercy, grace, or salvation of God on their enemies. Some of David's imprecatory psalms (et. al. 109, 69, 70) are almost embarrassingly counter to Christ's command, “Love your enemies.” He prayed, “Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness” (Ps 69:27). We face some bitter enemies of the cross of Christ. Some are leaders of our nation and we need not shy away from such vitriol. Look at what Nehemiah prayed for those who opposed the work of God: “Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity” (Neh 4:4). When the leaders of a country are leading into paths of unrighteousness, they are deserving of God's judgment. When the whole country is following they will soon be as deserving. “LORD God judge our leaders and bring them down in their confusion. Father have mercy on this mislead nation and forgive her vile trespasses. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, your Only Begotten Son, our Saviour, and for his names sake I ask. Amen, and amen.” Pray for America. There are no solutions coming from this Clinton/Trump election.
