Exodus 16 – Manna and Quail from Heaven

The LORD provides quail in the evening and manna in the morning, bread from heaven.

The people are instructed to gather only enough for each day, except on the sixth day when they gather double for the Sabbath.

Some disobey and find their manna spoiled, but the manna gathered on the sixth day remains fresh for the seventh.

The manna is described as small, white, and tasting like wafers made with honey.

An omer of manna is kept before the LORD as a testimony for future generations.
