We wrote on “little things on yesterday and I want to continue writing on littlethings today. There were some little people in the Bible that picturessomething very interesting. Years ago when I was teaching in Jr. Church I wouldsing a song about Zacchaeus
Zacchaeus wasa wee little man
And a wee little man was he
He climbed up in a sycamore tree
For the Lord he wanted to see
And as the Savior passed that way
He looked up in that tree
And He said, “Zacchaeus, you come down!
For I’m going to your house today
For I’m going to your house to stay”
Youcan read about Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10 most everyone knows about Zacchaeus andhow he climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Jesus as He passed by. We mayhave read through it so fast that we missed some things. Did you happen tonotice who passed through Jericho?                            Luke 19:1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
That’simportant for it didn’t read The Lord Jesus but just Jesus could it be for thisreason
Matthew1:21  And she shall bringforth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his peoplefrom their sins.
Sohere we see a little man who pictures the sinner and God’s provision for him;JESUS! Zacchaeus had become successful in life, he was rich, but the sad thingwas he had never met Jesus. Success may blind and riches may cause one to losesight of spiritual needs. This man Zacchaeus climbed a tree so he could see andwhen he did he heard words that changed him. The reason I know that is becauseof this verse
Luke19:8  And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyman by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.  Here we see a rich man doing what? Giving hiswealth away; half my goods I give to the poor and I’m willing to pay back four times as much as I have taken wrongly. I’d say Zacchaeusgave his life to the Lord. As fast as Zacchaeus came onto the pages ofScripture he leaves just as fast but with something better than riches he hadJesus
Proverbs23:5  Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for richescertainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
Onemust set his eyes on Jesus the one who is willing and wanting to save us fromour sins.
Haveyou done something nice for someone yet?
